Making cookies for Santa

A long family tradition that Tyler is always happy to help with. He wanted to wear the Rudolph nose, he got in the North Pole.

North Pole Express

Dec. 11, we were treated to a train ride with Grandma & Frank. They can't call it the "Polar Express", since Disney has the rights. We enjoyed hot cocoa and playing @ the North Pole(aka Saginaw Fair Ground). Jack waiting in line to talk to Santa, but Tyler already saw him on Dec. 3 at the breakfast with Santa.

The boys all got boxing gloves for Christmas and a punching bag. Tyler thought he needed his shirt off...

All talk

Tyler was all excited to go hunting this year. Dad got him some earmuffs to protect his ears from the loud gun.

Here he is all decked out in his blaze orange. They got to the blind and didn't have to wait too long to see deer. Ryan texted me and said "Tyler doesn't want me to shoot".  I think they saw 11 deer, but didn't bring any home:(

Tyler Turns Four

Tyler was all about his BIG Day today. I had to unlock the guest bedroom door at 8am, so he could open his presents.  He was so excited and loved everything he recievedI wasn't able to pick his cake up until after 2pm, but he didn't seem to mind. He did have a big piece of cake, after Michigan won in the 3rd overtime. One of these days, I need to record him singing the U of M fight song, "Hail to the Victors".

Tyler's first field trip

Last week, Tyler's preschool class went to Papa's Pumpkin patch for a hayride, picking pumpkins, donuts and cider. Here are just a few photos.

He found a pumpkin just his size. Plus he found one for Dad, who was hunting in southern Illinois.

Tyler Talk

This morning after getting ready for church, I went down stairs and Tyler asked "Mom, are you going to the hospital?" I said, no, why? He answered "Then why do you have a gown on?" I guess my dress did kind of look like a hospital gown.

Since he is now potty trained, he has some strange habits and comments. He was sitting on the potty, reclining and said "I have balls, but I can't throw them." I almost choked on my toothpaste.

Tyler my helper

Tyler got in on the action, when we painted on the 29th. He loves to help, with whatever I am doing. I thought a small brush would be the least messy. I kept the roller for me.

The kitchen and living room look very nice now.

Happy Birthday Tyler!

He is officially a 3 year old. He is really into "Cars", I think because his brother has been for the last three years. He really didn't have much of a choice. We celebrated with a cars cake from Robaire's Bakery. He got a scooter and his Flo's V8 cafe. The scooter was a big hit, especially once dad put it together. Tyler had one foot on it while he ate, since he didn't want Jack to ride it.

The boys always laugh watching the Cat and the Hat(Michael Myers version). Now Tyler is saying pharses or lines from it. He is just too funny.
